Greece travel diary | Last minute trip to Athens

2 weeks ago I went to Athens with a friend. Our original plan was to go to a different location, but those plans became different last minute. We rebooked everything shortly before the original flight would leave, to a flight to Athens. At the airport we looked at the list of flights that we could book and that would be the first to go to a warm destination. ‘What kind of luggage do we have with us?’ – ‘Only summer clothes’ ‘So, we’ll book the first warm destination that we can book, because why not’. Outfit | Acropolis

Kalimera! Previous week was a great week. I have been on two trips and am now back at (my lovely) work. Where I am standing here is near the Acropolis in Athens. I planned to go to Tel Aviv with a friend, but ultra last minute, our plans changed and we rebooked the trip at the airport to Athens. The flight to Athens would leave that same day in the afternoon. We wanted to go to something warm, haha. Athens is such a nice city! I had a great time together with my friend for 4 days and I have done many nice things. I had 5 days off at work as a flight attendant and once again I wanted to take the opportunity to travel.
One of my friends was working abroad again for a couple of months so I decided to plan a mini trip on my own to visit her at Palma de Mallorca – so technically this is, just like my trip to Lanzarote to that same friend, not a completely solo trip. [Lees meer…]

One of the reasons that I travel alone is due to my great wanderlust. Moreover, an extra reason is that if I do not manage to get friends / travel companions on a trip, I will still go alone. Anyways, I really like being on my own as well. I like traveling because it gives me a lot of new, special and fun memories and because it is something completely different than my everyday life. People that have read my Porto travel diary have probably spotted this outfit a couple of times in it. With a number of photos that I had left, I decided to make a mini outfit post. This is an outfit of my second day in Porto. My hair was not exactly as I hoped on these pictures haha. My solo trip to Porto was AMAZING. I met so many great people and had lots of fun. I took so many pictures that I would like to share with you all to give an impression of this great city. Can’t wait to post more on my blog and social media about it together with all of my great experiences. This is one of my favorite outfit’s from 2017 and I wore this outfit on a sunny balcony in Barcelona half a year ago. I often got asked on Instagram where I got this top. I decided to create a new blogpost for it with some nice holiday photos from May. Some of the photos are from my Barcelona travel post part 2, and I have moved them to here with some extra photos. I still really like this flared top!

The second day in Lisbon started with a breakfast in my hostel with a lovely view of the city. Today, I would probably get new roommates. For this day, I booked a nice cycling tour with a Dutch guy that lives in Lisbon for years. An hour or two after getting up, I went to the destination by foot.
