Sometimes, things don’t go the way you planned them – and that’s often exactly where the magic happens. After an intense period in February and March, where I worked non-stop – balancing both modeling and flying, often doing double duties and working through all my weekends – these 3.5 weeks of vacation felt like a well-earned reset. A moment to live again, instead of just performing. [Lees meer…]

Hi everyone! This week I went on a trip to Madrid, a place that had been calling me for a long time and was high on my list. I started the trip in Valencia, visiting a nearby village because one of my best travel friends, Mathilde, recently moved there with her boyfriend. The trip was fun, but also challenging. I traveled long distances every day to see everyone, plus because of a friend in South America who I let go of at a film festival (no gatekeeping here, lol) – but despite that, I had a great trip. As a surprise, another friend of mine was in the city, and I met some new, fun people in Madrid. I can’t wait to tell you more about it soon! [Lees meer…]

Hi everyone! 2 weeks ago I had a super nice collaboration with Hotel Babel in Tulum. At this place I was able to make a lot of super nice outfit photos and content. The reason I was already back in Tulum – was because I had 4 weeks off, and was actually going to travel to Guatemala. Due to the festive week around Easter all flights were overbooked – I heard that again afterwards from someone else who wanted to do the same. I had to make a decision within 48 hours to go on a trip, otherwise I would have wasted my entire holiday period. I decided to go to Medellin a 2nd time, and then on to Tulum again. Despite there being only a month between the two times Mexico, I had a great time! [Lees meer…]

Hi everyone! I bought this bandage dress in 2018, from one of my very first stewardess salaries I remember. I always wanted a dress that reminded me of Margot Robbie’s blue dress in The Wolf of Wall Street, and I thought this one came close at the time. By the way, I don’t have any pictures of the back, but the back is a corset. The store where I bought it is unfortunately bankrupt. I have to admit that it is not a dress that you can wear comfortably all day.

Turkey travel diary | 4 day family visit in Istanbul

11/10/2024 | Reageer

Hi everyone! In July I visited my youngest aunt in Istanbul for about 4 days. As some of you may not know, I am 75% Dutch and 25% Turkish from my father’s side. Unfortunately I don’t speak the language, but we always try to find our way with some German or Google Translate. A large part of my family (my father’s side) is Turkish (originally from the Trabzon – Black Sea region, back in the bloodline probably Russian descendants which is quite visible in the appearance within our family) and live in Turkey and Germany. During the trip I didn’t spend a lot of time creating content, and anyway I have always been very conscious in creating content. Sometimes I see friends/others who are so obsessed with creating content or deeply forcing certain photos/content that the entire trip passes them by, it takes up hours and also removes all attention from being in the now. Everyone has their own thing of course, but I think it is a shame when so much time and consciousness is lost in this way. That’s why I only posted everything from this trip afterwards. [Lees meer…]

Indonesia travel diary (extra long) | 3 week solo trip to Bali – part 3 (Ubud)

14/07/2024 | Reageer

Hi everyone! This part of my travel diary is extra long, because it contains my entire extensive return journey, but also a lot of photos, because Ubud was the place where I planned most activities and wanted to take photos. What really appeals to me about Ubud, is also the fact that in my experience it is more the ‘authentic’ Bali, without beach and sea – but many rice fields, nature and waterfalls. I am excited to tell you about my experiences here! Will you read along? [Lees meer…]

17/05/2022 | Reageer

Hi everyone! Last week I had 3 wonderful days in Ibiza. As usual it was not a trip for work, but just a mini vacation trip. In a few days I will finally be in Mexico! This time I have booked an actual ticket instead of a standby ticket. I don’t want to risk not getting on the flight again. This lovely dress is from Zara and funnily enough I spotted it 3x with other women in Ibiza when I was wearing it myself! Super nice in combination with my Gucci marmont super mini bag and low translucent block heels. This series of photos reminds me a bit of my outfit in Split. The best tip I can give you on a summer vacation is to take lots of pictures in the shadow! That’s where the light is often the best for an outfit shoot like this one. The photos were taken in the old town, I will soon tell you about my tips and experiences of Ibiza in a new travel diary. [Lees meer…]

Hi everyone! After almost 3 years (time flies so fast!), I was once again in Seville for a moment. This was all last minute. I bought this beautiful suit in Faro, where we had landed for the start of our mini road trip. We walked past a boutique and Joelle said the suit behind the window was really my thing, once inside I bought the same suit, but in my favorite color, red. Joelle bought the same suit in a different color, the one behind the window. We had packed summer clothes for Mexico, so had to quickly buy something nice and warmer. The suit is handmade in Italy and was slightly discounted, making it less expensive. Shall I make another outfit shoot of this outfit besides this one? [Lees meer…]

One day I realized:

I wasn’t afraid of being and travelling alone.

I was afraid of losing my life while waiting for someone else.

So I booked the flight. ✈️

What’s something you’ve been waiting for?

Based on facts 🌴✈️ Can you relate?

"What do you like to do for fun?"

Leave the country.

New places, new people, new stories.
Every single time.

At what point does it stop being a hobby and become a personality trait? 😂

Guatemala, one of the most heartwarming places I’ve experienced so far. A destination that still crosses my mind almost daily. And now in my top 5 favorites.

After being lucky enough to solo travel to so many beautiful places around the world, Guatemala instantly became one of the places that touched me the most.

The people, the atmosphere, the volcanoes, Lake Atitlán, the coffee, the food, UNESCO Antigua… this country has a soul that is difficult to describe unless you’ve experienced it yourself.

I met beautiful humans I still speak to from time to time, and I’m grateful to now call some incredible Guatemalans my friends.

I travelled here with my new camera, and I’m so thankful I was able to capture parts of this beautiful country through my own eyes, while also collaborating with amazing companies along the way.

I remember my eyes being teary while being on a boat at Lake Atitlan, and the moment I saw the Volcano erupt during the hike - one of the most challenging things I have ever done.

Some places impress you.
Others stay with you.
Guatemala did both. 🌋🇬🇹

Wait for the end! ✈️
Some women wait for love to start living.
I booked the ticket anyway.

Some of the most beautiful moments of my life happened because I stopped waiting, for permission, for certainty, for someone to come with me.

Solo travelling taught me that freedom can be lonely sometimes, but also deeply empowering. It gave me sunsets in countries I once only dreamed about, strangers that became memories, confidence I never learned at home, and versions of myself I would’ve never met if I stayed safe.

I may not have everything figured out yet, but I’ve lived. Deeply. Wildly. Internationally.
And honestly? That already makes me rich in life.

I know it’s not a possibility for every woman in the world to do this. Something travel also showed me over and over again.

Tulum, mi destino mágico 🌙🌴🌵
Some months ago I had the beautiful privilege to stay at @villa_hunab_ku multiple times - an absolute masterpiece and truly my aesthetic dream place in Tulum.

I remember sitting in the bathtub on the balcony of the master bedroom, the one I chose out of the five… in complete silence. Just looking out into the trees, feeling the warmth, and realizing how incredibly grateful I felt in that moment.

Grateful to be able to create a life where I get to travel, experience places like this, and even work with them. Something that once felt far away, and now feels like something I’ve slowly built for myself - step by step, by staying true to who I am and not letting other people’s opinions define me or hold me back.

At this villa, everything felt calm.
Safe. Peaceful. Grounded.

Waking up slowly, biking through Aldea Zamá to Nimenõ for my favorite coffee and breakfast just a few minutes away… those simple moments that end up meaning the most.

This villa is perfect for a group trip or something like a bachelorette, but I also loved experiencing it in my own way. Having the space to myself, inviting friends over sometimes, and just enjoying the balance between connection and stillness.

That balance felt very aligned with me.

Gracias en todos, @villa_hunab_ku 🤍

Gracias en todos, @villa_hunab_ku 🤍 Pictures taken with my own camera 📸 (This post has been scheduled ⏳) Had to repost some of these images and videos as Instagram affected the quality of some of my older content - still too beautiful not to share again ❤️‍🩹 #tulum #tuluminati #aldeazama #mexico
