At the end of April, I traveled to Mexico for the fifth time in two years. Yes, you read that right—five times! Mexico has become my ultimate destination, the place I constantly want to return to. The combination of fantastic hospitality, the internationally beloved cuisine (also my favorite!), stunning oceans, lively parties, expats, solo travelers, and the many friends I’ve made here, makes this country incredibly special to me. In Mexico, you can find everything: from the most delicious tacos and margaritas to breathtaking views and a vibrant atmosphere that you won’t find anywhere else. Each trip to Mexico is different and brings new adventures and collaborations. That’s why I keep a diary of every trip to share all these experiences and new tips with you. [Read more…]
Hi everyone! Welcome to the second part of my travel diary! In this part, I will mainly share with you my days in Tulum, and a few days in Playa del Carmen. My travel diaries are a personal diary and travel portfolio to read for you and for myself to read back and remember everything better. Once again, I would like to share that due to personal circumstances, I kept certain things personal and did not write them in my travel diary. Some memories are for the heart only, too personal or too emotional to share with the world online. This is the case in a few past travel diaries. In this travel diary, I will share my tips and experiences with you from my last trip, I hope you enjoy reading this! Under the tab ‘Travel – Mexico’ you can find all of my previous Mexico trips. Hi everyone! Welcome back to another travel diary. I’ve been catching up a lot with my blogging because I didn’t want to be too far behind with my travels and uploads. In this travel post, I am going to share all my experiences from last trip. I would like to say that this trip was the best of all 4 trips to Mexico. That’s why I can’t wait to share my tips and experiences with you. Mexico has become my favorite travel destination after visiting 20 countries. What used to be Japan is now Mexico – and years ago I really didn’t expect that I could love a country almost more than Japan. Mexico is an amazing country for solo travel, delicious food, beautiful nature, meeting international people, working remote and a rich culture. No day of my trip is the same! When I first came to Mexico in May 2022 without expectations, I did not expect that I would be there at least 4 times in just over 1.5 years! Are you reading this story along? First of all, I would like to say that due to personal reasons, I have kept certain things personal and have not written them in my travel diary. Some memories are only for the heart, too personal or too emotional to share online with the world ♥[Read more…]
Welcome to my part 2 of my personal travel diary! A little sidenote is that there are a lot more pictures of myself in this post than usual, because I didn’t create outfit posts of all outfits here and decided to combine it in this upload. If you haven’t read part one, you can click here: part one.The last 8 days of this trip I would spend in my favorite place for the 3th time; Tulum. I have to tell you that I was a bit afraid that it would get quite hard because of my personal reason, more hard than the last few days in Mexico. My goal was once again to go right through it to celebrate the love for this place and the wonderful memories I have of this special place. On the other hand, I had also really looked forward to being back in Tulum! [Read more…]
I bought this dress vintage on Vinted. I really love the Lavish Alice brand, so I often look for cool pieces of vinted. In combination with a nice red lipstick, it gives me a Marilyn Monroe impression. The place where I took these beautiful pictures is the hostel where I stayed. My last two nights in the private were non-committal for me as a collaboration, and the restaurant where I took one of the photos was also non-committal – this look was for a collaboration. I am very grateful to have some great collaborations in Tulum. [Read more…]
In this post, I will also tell about my last days in Mexico, Playa del Carmen, Bacalar and the amazing other things and places I got to experience during my last days here. Chitzen-Itza is one of the wonders of the world that I was eager to visit and hadn’t visited last time. Moreover, I hadn’t crossed off a single wonder of the world so far! I thought I really had to do this during my month here. Basically the most touristy thing you can do in this area, but very cool to experience. Besides, it was a good idea for me to leave Tulum today and go out with a friend, after everything from the day before. [Read more…]
On November 17th, I left for Mexico for the 2nd time in a year. This is the ‘official’ 8th trip of this year. This first part is in Playa del Carmen, Holbox and Tulum – the first part of my journey. The reason why I would go for more than a month is because I wanted to bridge the winter in the Netherlands during my annual leave, I wanted to go back to dear friends who live there, I wanted to travel solo again and because my (now former) long-distance love lived in Tulum and I had met there earlier this year – which was originally my biggest reason to stay this long. In this travel diary I explain to you like a diary what I have done and visited during this trip, together with tips. I don’t make this diary too personal, because this trip went differently than the original plan why I came here. [Read more…]
This beautiful outfit is my favorite Tulum outfit. I bought this beautiful boho goddess dress a while ago and this is not a collaboration. I got a lot of questions where I got this beautiful dress from, so I decided to make an outfit post of this outfit. The photos were taken at Mia beach club – Selina hostel los lirios, one of my favorite places in Tulum. I’ve been to this place very often because I’m often backstage at the techno parties because of friends I know. I also stayed here for two nights. Absolutely recommended! When I was here for the first time in May, I was already a fan. [Read more…]
