In this post, I will also tell about my last days in Mexico, Playa del Carmen, Bacalar and the amazing other things and places I got to experience during my last days here. Chitzen-Itza is one of the wonders of the world that I was eager to visit and hadn’t visited last time. Moreover, I hadn’t crossed off a single wonder of the world so far! I thought I really had to do this during my month here. Basically the most touristy thing you can do in this area, but very cool to experience. Besides, it was a good idea for me to leave Tulum today and go out with a friend, after everything from the day before. [Read more…]
This morning on November 22 started with an extensive brunch with Cyni at Ki’bok coffee in La Veleta – next to Tulum jungle gym, where I went with my rented bike from my hostel. I have to tell you that I reach almost everything here in Mexico within the villages by bicycle. We ate divinely delicious chilaquiles at this place – which I definitely want to come back for! After lunch we would go with Cyni’s friends to Vagalume, where they also allowed me to enter without an entrance fee and without a minimum spend. Via google maps I followed my way on my bike alone through quite remote roads and I have to tell you that I found that the only time I didn’t feel safe – and that during the day! In the end I suffered on the beach with Cyni’s dear friends – Vagalume is a cool high-end beach club that is known for the ‘hands’ that many people take pictures with. It was very nice to have a drink and relax here. [Read more…]
On November 17th, I left for Mexico for the 2nd time in a year. This is the ‘official’ 8th trip of this year. This first part is in Playa del Carmen, Holbox and Tulum – the first part of my journey. The reason why I would go for more than a month is because I wanted to bridge the winter in the Netherlands during my annual leave, I wanted to go back to dear friends who live there, I wanted to travel solo again and because my (now former) long-distance love lived in Tulum and I had met there earlier this year – which was originally my biggest reason to stay this long. In this travel diary I explain to you like a diary what I have done and visited during this trip, together with tips. I don’t make this diary too personal, because this trip went differently than the original plan why I came here. [Read more…]
This was one of my favorite outfits from Mexico. The photos were taken on Isla Holbox, one of my favorite places in Mexico. In the meantime I’m still working on my Mexico diary! I’ve been back for almost two months now, and I’m going again in two months. Mexico is one of my favorite pieces of beauty in the world. I’m going to shoot alot upcoming time and also have nice projects and trips on the schedule. I hope everything is going well with you too. [Read more…]
A month ago I came back from Mexico. What a journey this was! A very emotional one, but also one that has helped me grow a lot and one where I have met a lot of great people. The beautiful place where I took these photos is on the island of Isla Holbox at beach club Zomay. I’ve had this dress for years and I really wear it in a lot of summer places. It’s a dress that never gets boring! I received this hat a few months ago as a collab with Le Olive and I also like to take it on holiday. [Read more…]
Hi everyone! This is my last outfit post of 2022. I bought this amazing outfit in Medellín – Colombia, with the idea of taking it to Mexico at the end of the year. I have worn it very often, it is a unique outfit and the quality is also really top. The colorful details make me super happy. These photos were recreated at Selina Tulum. Tulum now feels like my second home because of the people I know there and how often and how long I’ve been there. [Read more…]
This beautiful outfit is my favorite Tulum outfit. I bought this beautiful boho goddess dress a while ago and this is not a collaboration. I got a lot of questions where I got this beautiful dress from, so I decided to make an outfit post of this outfit. The photos were taken at Mia beach club – Selina hostel los lirios, one of my favorite places in Tulum. I’ve been to this place very often because I’m often backstage at the techno parties because of friends I know. I also stayed here for two nights. Absolutely recommended! When I was here for the first time in May, I was already a fan. [Read more…]
Hello everyone! Great that you are reading my second part of my solo Mexico travel diary. This post is extra long because I didn’t want to split it into two more parts. So I would say, take your time with this! haha. I try to describe my diaries extensively, but some things are left out and I also find it unnecessary to share. Moreover, otherwise the text becomes too long, and I try to describe it broadly. During my travels, I also try to keep a general diary here and there in order to expand this later with the photos. I will continue this second part in Tulum. I would like to take you with me in this sequel! Full of tips and experiences. [Read more…]
In this travel post I will take you on a solo trip to Mexico, where I will share my experiences and tips extensively, as in a diary. I don’t want to give too much away yet, but to start with how I experienced the whole trip: As one of the most beautiful trips I’ve ever made. Way beyond my expectations. Especially because of the special people and unexpected fun things that I got on my path. This journey literally felt like a pink cloud – pure happiness, great gratitude, euphoria and peace. I am extremely grateful to be able to do these beautiful things in my life and am certainly aware of this privilege. I am grateful that I can give myself solo travel as a gift, and will continue to do so. I hope these travel diaries might inspire you to go on a solo trip yourself. If not, I hope it is at least a fun activity to take you on this 11 day solo adventure. With a big smile on my face, I start this travel diary. Even if nobody would read it, so to speak, I just like to have everything worked out for myself and to be able to share it. I always get that feeling from back then (and a certain homesickness) when I read or type this. My posts are like a kind of public diary. Of course I always write it out in broad outline, otherwise it is really too much to read. [Read more…]
