Hi everyone! Welcome to the continuation of my original Brazil travel diary. In this travel diary, I will share with you my experiences and tips from my unplanned and spontaneous solo trip to Buenos Aires in Argentina. I was also really looking forward to this spontaneous trip, which I also hadn’t planned when I went. Going without a plan and without preparation sometimes brings unexpected, fun surprises. Thailand travel diary | Solo trip to Bangkok part 1
A few weeks ago I went on a trip to Bangkok. I felt strongly that this was going to be an amazing trip. Originally, I would go on a 6-7 day trip with my best friend Roos, who lives in Abu Dhabi – but this felt too short for me. In 3 years time, I have seen Roos in real life for 4 hours – which was in Dubai last April by ‘sort of’ coincidence. From her departure station Abu Dhabi, it is about 6 hours flying time and from Amsterdam 12 hours straight. Because of the longer distance, I wanted to stay for more days than that anyway. Due to the 2 hour delay on my working flight, I would no longer be able to catch the KLM flight in the evening directly to BKK. I decided to fly to Dubai with Emirates. [Lees meer…]
Mexico travel diary (extra long) | 3th solo trip to Tulum
Welcome to my part 2 of my personal travel diary! A little sidenote is that there are a lot more pictures of myself in this post than usual, because I didn’t create outfit posts of all outfits here and decided to combine it in this upload. If you haven’t read part one, you can click here: part one. The last 8 days of this trip I would spend in my favorite place for the 3th time; Tulum. I have to tell you that I was a bit afraid that it would get quite hard because of my personal reason, more hard than the last few days in Mexico. My goal was once again to go right through it to celebrate the love for this place and the wonderful memories I have of this special place. On the other hand, I had also really looked forward to being back in Tulum! [Lees meer…]
Mexico travel diary | Back to Mexico solo – Mexico city & Puerto Escondido
Today, my journey started with luckily getting a seat at the gate on the flight to Mexico City (CDMX). I was really looking forward to visiting this destination and secretly looking forward to it even more than going back to Japan. I have quite a love for Mexico, so I love to go back often. It was with a double feeling, because of my situation in November. I wanted to move between the pain of a circumstance and the love of this place. The best way to get out of something is to go straight through and into it. I decided to take the bull by its horns, because I don’t want to let something win against me if it can cost or affect me something very beautiful. Last November I already did that with all the strength I had in me. And this journey made me realize how strong and courageous I was last fall, and how that same money goes back for now. It’s not the place that hurt me, and I want to protect and appreciate the love for that place with all my power. [Lees meer…]
Japan travel diary | 3th Solo trip to Tokyo (and Dubai) part 2
I’ve been to Shibuya Sky, Tokyo Skytree and Shinjuku Metropolitan Government Building so far. This day I really wanted to go to Roppongi Hills, because I still wanted to visit this viewpoint. Be aware that you have an outdoor vantage point and an indoor one. If you want to visit the outside point, you pay another 500 yen on top of the entrance fee. [Lees meer…]
Japan travel diary | 3th Solo trip to Tokyo part 1
Hi everyone! In this post I am going to tell you about my third solo trip to Japan two months ago. Japan is one of the few countries that has really remained closed for a long time during corona, and also post-covid. October 2022, the borders were finally open for both unvaccinated and vaccinated travelers! Good news, because I was never vaccinated and wanted to go back to Tokyo. When I had more than 5-6 weeks off thanks to my part-time and vacation, I decided to travel to Tokyo as soon as possible after my 3-day modeling assignment in Germany. By coincidence, my flying colleagues Dennis and René went on exactly the same days and exactly the same flights – so we decided to hang out for a short while in Japan. After more than 3 years, I wanted to go back to Tokyo solo. [Lees meer…]
Outfit | Puerto
The beautiful place of this sunset is in Puerto Escondido. I really liked Puerto, but because my hostel was very disappointing, I found my stay less exiting than I had hoped. It is really completely different from Tulum, but I had a great time there with the travelers I got to know. Personally, I think that Puerto has a lot of nice lunch, coffee, cocktail and food shops! As I have repeated many times on my blog, I think solo travel is the most beautiful thing there is. I am eternally grateful for the wonderful people I have met. I found my first lover (ex), some of my best friends and a lot of learning lessons that have brought me further in life.

Outfit | Meteora
I bought this dress vintage on Vinted. I really love the Lavish Alice brand, so I often look for cool pieces of vinted. In combination with a nice red lipstick, it gives me a Marilyn Monroe impression. The place where I took these beautiful pictures is the hostel where I stayed. My last two nights in the private were non-committal for me as a collaboration, and the restaurant where I took one of the photos was also non-committal – this look was for a collaboration. I am very grateful to have some great collaborations in Tulum. [Lees meer…]
Outfit | Agua
It is official! Tulum is my favorite place in the world. After 3 visits in 11 months, I can certainly confirm that! There is no place in the world where I feel more peaceful and at home, despite my personal circumstances that I have told you about earlier, which are unfortunately connected to this place. You can wear what you want, live how you want, be how you want, and no one judges you. Apart from the fact that Tulum is very expensive in a lot of things, I am grateful to have some collaborations here and to use my crew tickets – which allow me to visit this beautiful place regularly.
