Hi everyone! In this post I am going to tell you about my third solo trip to Japan two months ago. Japan is one of the few countries that has really remained closed for a long time during corona, and also post-covid. October 2022, the borders were finally open for both unvaccinated and vaccinated travelers! Good news, because I was never vaccinated and wanted to go back to Tokyo. When I had more than 5-6 weeks off thanks to my part-time and vacation, I decided to travel to Tokyo as soon as possible after my 3-day modeling assignment in Germany. By coincidence, my flying colleagues Dennis and René went on exactly the same days and exactly the same flights – so we decided to hang out for a short while in Japan. The beautiful place of this sunset is in Puerto Escondido. I really liked Puerto, but because my hostel was very disappointing, I found my stay less exiting than I had hoped. It is really completely different from Tulum, but I had a great time there with the travelers I got to know. Personally, I think that Puerto has a lot of nice lunch, coffee, cocktail and food shops! As I have repeated many times on my blog, I think solo travel is the most beautiful thing there is. I am eternally grateful for the wonderful people I have met. I found my first lover (ex), some of my best friends and a lot of learning lessons that have brought me further in life.

I bought this dress vintage on Vinted. I really love the Lavish Alice brand, so I often look for cool pieces of vinted. In combination with a nice red lipstick, it gives me a Marilyn Monroe impression. The place where I took these beautiful pictures is the hostel where I stayed. My last two nights in the private were non-committal for me as a collaboration, and the restaurant where I took one of the photos was also non-committal – this look was for a collaboration. It is official! Tulum is my favorite place in the world. After 3 visits in 11 months, I can certainly confirm that! There is no place in the world where I feel more peaceful and at home, despite my personal circumstances that I have told you about earlier, which are unfortunately connected to this place. You can wear what you want, live how you want, be how you want, and no one judges you. Apart from the fact that Tulum is very expensive in a lot of things, I am grateful to have some collaborations here and to use my crew tickets – which allow me to visit this beautiful place regularly.

The place where I am in the photos is EDITION, a cocktail bar in a luxury hotel in Tokyo. Together with a friend who lives in Japan – Anita, I went to have a cocktail with her at this place. I really wanted to go to a rooftop bar in Japan this time, so she took me to this place. I have no cooperation with the brand of my dresses. I buy from here regularly – especially during sales, or even through Vinted. The back of this dress has a very nice open back with a bow, and I bought it especially for my 3rd Japan trip. Hi everyone! I literally posted this blog post from Tokyo! I am currently here for the 3rd time on holiday (solo). I got this beautiful neon dress from my sister. It fits really small, so I wear an L with my size 36. The place where I am here is Roppongi Hills – Tokyo cityview. This viewpoint was still on my list, so I visited this place with a friend who lives in Japan. Entrance to this place, including the open platform, costs 2500 yen. These photos are also from today. I am very happy that Japan’s borders have been open again since a few months, so I decided to go back to Tokyo for 9 days during my 5 weeks of part-time and vacation. In this post, I will also tell about my last days in Mexico, Playa del Carmen, Bacalar and the amazing other things and places I got to experience during my last days here. Chitzen-Itza is one of the wonders of the world that I was eager to visit and hadn’t visited last time. Moreover, I hadn’t crossed off a single wonder of the world so far! I thought I really had to do this during my month here. Basically the most touristy thing you can do in this area, but very cool to experience. Mexico travel diary | one month solo in Mexico part 2

This morning on November 22 started with an extensive brunch with Cyni at Ki’bok coffee in La Veleta – next to Tulum jungle gym, where I went with my rented bike from my hostel. I have to tell you that I reach almost everything here in Mexico within the villages by bicycle. We ate divinely delicious chilaquiles at this place – which I definitely want to come back for! After lunch we would go with Cyni’s friends to Vagalume, where they also allowed me to enter without an entrance fee and without a minimum spend. Via google maps I followed my way on my bike alone through quite remote roads and I have to tell you that I found that the only time I didn’t feel safe – and that during the day! In the end I suffered on the beach with Cyni’s dear friends – Vagalume is a cool high-end beach club that is known for the ‘hands’ that many people take pictures with. Mexico travel diary | one month solo in Mexico part 1

On November 17th, I left for Mexico for the 2nd time in a year. This is the ‘official’ 8th trip of this year. This first part is in Playa del Carmen, Holbox and Tulum – the first part of my journey. The reason why I would go for more than a month is because I wanted to bridge the winter in the Netherlands during my annual leave, I wanted to go back to dear friends who live there, I wanted to travel solo again and because my (now former) long-distance love lived in Tulum and I had met there earlier this year – which was originally my biggest reason to stay this long. In this travel diary I explain to you like a diary what I have done and visited during this trip, together with tips.
