Hi everyone! I literally posted this blog post from Tokyo! I am currently here for the 3rd time on holiday (solo). I got this beautiful neon dress from my sister. It fits really small, so I wear an L with my size 36. The place where I am here is Roppongi Hills – Tokyo cityview. This viewpoint was still on my list, so I visited this place with a friend who lives in Japan. Entrance to this place, including the open platform, costs 2500 yen. These photos are also from today. I am very happy that Japan’s borders have been open again since a few months, so I decided to go back to Tokyo for 9 days during my 5 weeks of part-time and vacation. Last October I traveled to Lisbon for the 4th time as a city trip. Nicole is a school friend of mine whom I know from my studies. In 2019 I visited her with another former classmate because she lived here for a while before her education. Lisbon is my favorite city in Europe, so I really wanted to go back. In this post, I will also tell about my last days in Mexico, Playa del Carmen, Bacalar and the amazing other things and places I got to experience during my last days here. Chitzen-Itza is one of the wonders of the world that I was eager to visit and hadn’t visited last time. Moreover, I hadn’t crossed off a single wonder of the world so far! Mexico travel diary | one month solo in Mexico part 2

This morning on November 22 started with an extensive brunch with Cyni at Ki’bok coffee in La Veleta – next to Tulum jungle gym, where I went with my rented bike from my hostel. I have to tell you that I reach almost everything here in Mexico within the villages by bicycle. We ate divinely delicious chilaquiles at this place – which I definitely want to come back for! After lunch we would go with Cyni’s friends to Vagalume, where they also allowed me to enter without an entrance fee and without a minimum spend. Via google maps I followed my way on my bike alone through quite remote roads and I have to tell you that I found that the only time I didn’t feel safe – and that during the day! In the end I suffered on the beach with Cyni’s dear friends – Vagalume is a cool high-end beach club that is known for the ‘hands’ that many people take pictures with. Mexico travel diary | one month solo in Mexico part 1

On November 17th, I left for Mexico for the 2nd time in a year. This is the ‘official’ 8th trip of this year. This first part is in Playa del Carmen, Holbox and Tulum – the first part of my journey. The reason why I would go for more than a month is because I wanted to bridge the winter in the Netherlands during my annual leave, I wanted to go back to dear friends who live there, I wanted to travel solo again and because my (now former) long-distance love lived in Tulum and I had met there earlier this year – which was originally my biggest reason to stay this long. In this travel diary I explain to you like a diary what I have done and visited during this trip, together with tips. This morning – day 8 – I flew back to CTG with Avianca. I wanted to be back early for my KLM friend Ilona. She had requested a layover to go on the road with me. We decided to go to Movich hotel together to see the nice view in Cartagena. The weather was very disappointing today and there was massive flooding on the street. After some pictures at Movich, we went for lunch somewhere in the old center. We couldn’t go anywhere because of the weather! A month ago I came back from Mexico. What a journey this was! A very emotional one, but also one that has helped me grow a lot and one where I have met a lot of great people. The beautiful place where I took these photos is on the island of Isla Holbox at beach club Zomay. I’ve had this dress for years and I really wear it in a lot of summer places.
