Welcome back to Part 2! I knew it was rain season, but I didn’t expect how extremely rainy it would be this whole trip. Minor spoiler; the rest of the journey was nothing but incessant rain! So take the rainy season in July seriously. Basically, we could do almost nothing today. This post is mainly pictures of the few things we could do, because we were literally ‘stuck’ in the rain. Furthermore, I think Thailand is a beautiful country with incredibly warm, sweet people! The hospitality and safety here are very nice. [Read more…]
Welcome to my part 2 of my personal travel diary! A little sidenote is that there are a lot more pictures of myself in this post than usual, because I didn’t create outfit posts of all outfits here and decided to combine it in this upload. If you haven’t read part one, you can click here: part one. The last 8 days of this trip I would spend in my favorite place for the 3th time; Tulum. I have to tell you that I was a bit afraid that it would get quite hard because of my personal reason, more hard than the last few days in Mexico. My goal was once again to go right through it to celebrate the love for this place and the wonderful memories I have of this special place. On the other hand, I had also really looked forward to being back in Tulum! [Read more…]
I’ve been to Shibuya Sky, Tokyo Skytree and Shinjuku Metropolitan Government Building so far. This day I really wanted to go to Roppongi Hills, because I still wanted to visit this viewpoint. Be aware that you have an outdoor vantage point and an indoor one. If you want to visit the outside point, you pay another 500 yen on top of the entrance fee. [Read more…]
Last October I traveled to Lisbon for the 4th time as a city trip. Nicole is a school friend of mine whom I know from my studies. In 2019 I visited her with another former classmate because she lived here for a while before her education. Lisbon is my favorite city in Europe, so I really wanted to go back. We flew together from Eindhoven airport to Lisbon and I was allowed to invite Nicole to see the landing from the cockpit. [Read more…]
In the meantime I have not even been back for 10 days from my beautiful Colombia trip. I did this outfit shoot together with Karmen Cartagena – this is also really my favorite outfit from Cartagena and I think it fits perfectly with this place. These photos were taken in beautiful Getsemani. If you are looking for a nice photographer during your trip to Cartagena, I highly recommend her. I did this shoot during my last day in Cartagena. I wanted to have guaranteed good photos of my solo trip. I got about 20% off the original price on this shoot, as a partial collaboration. [Read more…]
Hi everyone. At the end of July, I went to visit a good friend of mine in Marbella for a weekend. Funnily enough, Marbella itself was never on my travel wish list, but during this weekend I went there for the second time. I’m normally not a big fan of jet set places, but it certainly didn’t disappoint. Early Friday morning, I left for Schiphol to start this weekend. After a long line of 2.5 hours, I arrived at the gate. I was on standby for a seat (if seat available airline staff tickets), but at this point it looked totally full. When I met the KLM crew, I was very lucky because I got the – in my opinion – ‘best front row seat’ (the cockpit observer seat) and was the very last one to board. Thanks to the efforts of this sweet crew and ground crew I was able to join. The entire flight was enjoyable and I spent the entire flight in the cockpit.
Hi everyone! Last month I went to Ibiza for 3 days. It was amazing and the island really surprised me. It was a last minute trip with a dear colleague just before my vacation to Mexico. It started at the beginning of the afternoon when we left with our airline (standby tickets) from Schiphol to Ibiza. After a wonderful flight with the lovely crew and sitting in the cockpit during the landing (which still remains beautiful, even though I have been a flight attendant for years), we went to the car rental that we arranged through our employer. Because Kanar – the colleague who was going to travel with me – drives an automatic car, I drove around the island on this trip. For me it was the first time to drive on a holiday destination, so it was very nice to have done that! [Read more…]
I can’t believe how fast time goes. Zakynthos has been seriously almost 2-3 months since I post this (Early September)! I will already tell you that Zakynthos is one of the most beautiful places I have visited in Europe and I highly recommend it! The flight distance is around 2.5 hours, so also quite close. This trip was a total of 4 days. You can do a lot more in such a short time than you might think. I like to go on an adventure or discovery. A complete “beach vacation” or “party vacation” is not for an adventurous and curious person like me. So I have to tell you that I really can’t spend whole days just lying on a beach. I prefer to travel (around the island (with or without a plan) with a car), sightseeing, discovering a nice new city and old streets, eating and drinking deliciously, trying local food, drinking coffee on terraces, taking lots of pictures with my camera, exploring the local culture of a place (for example, my Japan trips), visit viewpoints over the city or landscapes, get to know new people from all over the world, see beautiful places, do lots of cycling and walking, or on adventure/discovery… you name it. Hi everyone. I made a very ‘special’ blog post about my Dubai trip at the beginning of May. I want to say in advance that this is a journey in corona time, so you can certainly have an opinion about this. But published negative opinions are not welcome on my platform. Nor do I mean to ‘motivate’ people with this to travel to a risk area and not to stick to the ‘urgent advice’. And, I would like to mention here, that traveling to (orange areas) is discouraged, but not prohibited. (Holiday to an orange area is therefore not prohibited, and the quarantine is not mandatory either) And I have been tested both there and back (3x in total). I have to tell you that this was a pretty pricey trip, because of the very expensive corona tests. The shared apartment, the crew airline tickets (IPB) and everything around it were not even that expensive.
