Brazil travel diary | Two week (partial) solo trip to Florianópolis part 1
Hi everyone! Welcome to a new travel diary where I take you – largely solo – to a safe, clean, prosperous and beautiful part of Brazil – Florianópolis. If you are looking for a beautiful, safe, clean and adventurous travel destination in Brazil, this is your place. There are a lot of people I’ve spoken to on my past travels who often skip Brazil while backpacking through South America because of a ‘bad image’ – sadly (however, I personally also do not recommend Rio myself, while I absolutely love Brazil). I have therefore completely devoted this travel diary to a part of Brazil that I think you should definitely visit if you have the chance! And it also deserves much more fame. Florianópolis is a place known for its 40+ beaches, hiking and climbing routes, nature, surf spots, good food, oysters, fresh fish, safety and social life. A pearl in South America where you can relax and enjoy the real ‘Brazilian feeling’ – with a slightly European touch from the ‘descendants’ who have lived here for generations from, for example, Germany and Italy.
