Hi everyone! Last month I went to Ibiza for 3 days. It was amazing and the island really surprised me. It was a last minute trip with a dear colleague just before my vacation to Mexico. It started at the beginning of the afternoon when we left with our airline (standby tickets) from Schiphol to Ibiza. After a wonderful flight with the lovely crew and sitting in the cockpit during the landing (which still remains beautiful, even though I have been a flight attendant for years), we went to the car rental that we arranged through our employer. Because Kanar β the colleague who was going to travel with me β drives an automatic car, I drove around the island on this trip. For me it was the first time to drive on a holiday destination, so it was very nice to have done that! [Read more…]

Solo Travel diary | 5 day May solo trip to Dubai
Hi everyone. I made a very ‘special’ blog post about my Dubai trip at the beginning of May. I want to say in advance that this is a journey in corona time, so you can certainly have an opinion about this. But published negative opinions are not welcome on my platform. Nor do I mean to ‘motivate’ people with this to travel to a risk area and not to stick to the ‘urgent advice’. And, I would like to mention here, that traveling to (orange areas) is discouraged, but not prohibited. (Holiday to an orange area is therefore not prohibited, and the quarantine is not mandatory either) And I have been tested both there and back (3x in total). I have to tell you that this was a pretty pricey trip, because of the very expensive corona tests. The shared apartment, the crew airline tickets (IPB) and everything around it were not even that expensive.

Croatia Travel diary | 3 day trip to Split
At the beginning of this month, I went on a short trip to Split in Croatia. The country started to light up to me more and more, so I decided to take a short trip with a friend. The schedule was 4 days, but due to certain circumstances I unfortunately couldn’t get time off. It turned into 3 days last minute. Anyway, it was great! And that’s why I like to share my travel diary with recommendations with you.

Portugal Travel Diary | 3 day trip to Lagos in the Algarve
I went to Lagos in the Algarve with my good friend Michelle, this trip had been planned for months. In this travel diary I give tips and tell you what we have discovered, done and seen in this 3 day trip at the beginning of Oktober. It sounds short, but by reading you will see how much we were able to see, do and relax in such a short time. The weather was clear and between 25-30 degrees all day, great!

Outfit | Azul
Hi everyone! More than a week ago I left for Portugal for 3 days with a good friend of mine. It was really nice to be away for 3 days. It may sound very short, but we have done, seen and relaxed very much. I can’t wait to tell you much more about this journey. I shot this outfit at 3 different locations. This beautiful blue satin dress is nice for a chic dinner, but I thought it was suitable for this beautiful journey. The color is as blue as the sea. To get to these places I really had to climb a lot, on heels haha, but I am happy with the end result. Places where I shot it are Cabo de SΓ£o Vicente, Ponta de Piedade and Praia do Camilo. These places are unbelievably beautiful, much more beautiful than I can capture with my camera. Recommendation to visit! [Read more…]
Spain Travel Diary | 3 day getaway to Malaga
Last week I went to Malaga with my good friend and colleague Michelle. This city trip was a last minute decision, so that made it even more fun. We decided to relax for 3 days in a much warmer city to catch up, because we hadn’t seen each other for a few months. On March 4 we flew to Malaga with a very nice crew from our home base Eindhoven Airport, Standby. I had a three-day weekend, so as I had done before, a city trip suited perfectly. We arrived in the evening so we changed our outfit in our AirBnb apartment and then went out for dinner. By the way, our Airbnb was called Malaga City Breaks. What quickly struck me was the enormous hospitality of this city. [Read more…]
Being a Stewardess | 3 day Dubai Layover
Welcome to my first layover diary and my second Stewardess post! As I have told in my other post, my work is my passion and I like to share some nice things about it. About a week and a half ago I was allowed to go to Dubai for 3 days with a nice crew, flying from Amsterdam. I already knew the cabin crew colleagues from Eindhoven and Amsterdam, so that was of course extra fun. Dubai had long been on my wish list. The airline where I work for mainly has ‘turnarounds’, so a layover is of course a very nice extra for a lot of people. Many people certainly look forward to it like me. Previous September I also had a nice layover in the city of Groningen. [Read more…]
Japan travel diary | 2019 Solo trip to Japan part 3
I cropped this last part of my 14 day trip into one post as I haven’t taken many photos in the last few days there. This is day 9 to 14. One of the last days I heard from a KLM flight attendant that my standby travel flight was as good as full, so I booked an extra night in my hostel in Tokyo and converted the KLM IPB flight to a new one day later. This day I went to Kyoto again from Osaka, this time with Yuka. Osaka and Kyoto are not long apart by public transport, I believe half an hour, so no other hostel was needed. Yuka and I have known each other since 2013 and have seen each other in the Netherlands and last year in Japan as well. [Read more…]
