Hi everyone! Welcome back to another travel diary. I’ve been catching up a lot with my blogging because I didn’t want to be too far behind with my travels and uploads. In this travel post, I am going to share all my experiences from last trip. I would like to say that this trip was the best of all 4 trips to Mexico. That’s why I can’t wait to share my tips and experiences with you. Mexico has become my favorite travel destination after visiting 20 countries. What used to be Japan is now Mexico – and years ago I really didn’t expect that I could love a country almost more than Japan. Mexico is an amazing country for solo travel, delicious food, beautiful nature, meeting international people, working remote and a rich culture. No day of my trip is the same! When I first came to Mexico in May 2022 without expectations, I did not expect that I would be there at least 4 times in just over 1.5 years! Are you reading this story along? Hi everyone! Welcome to a new travel diary where I take you – largely solo – to a safe, clean, prosperous and beautiful part of Brazil – Florianópolis. If you are looking for a beautiful, safe, clean and adventurous travel destination in Brazil, this is your place. There are a lot of people I’ve spoken to on my past travels who often skip Brazil while backpacking through South America because of a ‘bad image’ – sadly (however, I personally also do not recommend Rio myself, while I absolutely love Brazil). I have therefore completely devoted this travel diary to a part of Brazil that I think you should definitely visit if you have the chance! And it also deserves much more fame. Florianópolis is a place known for its 40+ beaches, hiking and climbing routes, nature, surf spots, good food, oysters, fresh fish, safety and social life. A pearl in South America where you can relax and enjoy the real ‘Brazilian feeling’ – with a slightly European touch from the ‘descendants’ who have lived here for generations from, for example, Germany and Italy. Today, my journey started with luckily getting a seat at the gate on the flight to Mexico City (CDMX). I was really looking forward to visiting this destination and secretly looking forward to it even more than going back to Japan. I have quite a love for Mexico, so I love to go back often. It was with a double feeling, because of my situation in November. I wanted to move between the pain of a circumstance and the love of this place. The best way to get out of something is to go straight through and into it. I decided to take the bull by its horns, because I don’t want to let something win against me if it can cost or affect me something very beautiful. Last November I already did that with all the strength I had in me. And this journey made me realize how strong and courageous I was last fall, and how that same money goes back for now. In this post, I will also tell about my last days in Mexico, Playa del Carmen, Bacalar and the amazing other things and places I got to experience during my last days here. Chitzen-Itza is one of the wonders of the world that I was eager to visit and hadn’t visited last time. Moreover, I hadn’t crossed off a single wonder of the world so far! I thought I really had to do this during my month here. Basically the most touristy thing you can do in this area, but very cool to experience. Mexico travel diary | one month solo in Mexico part 2

This morning on November 22 started with an extensive brunch with Cyni at Ki’bok coffee in La Veleta – next to Tulum jungle gym, where I went with my rented bike from my hostel. I have to tell you that I reach almost everything here in Mexico within the villages by bicycle. We ate divinely delicious chilaquiles at this place – which I definitely want to come back for! After lunch we would go with Cyni’s friends to Vagalume, where they also allowed me to enter without an entrance fee and without a minimum spend. Via google maps I followed my way on my bike alone through quite remote roads and I have to tell you that I found that the only time I didn’t feel safe – and that during the day! In the end I suffered on the beach with Cyni’s dear friends – Vagalume is a cool high-end beach club that is known for the ‘hands’ that many people take pictures with.
