In this last chapter, I’ll be sharing my top beach spots, hidden gems, and food recommendations that make every trip to Tulum special. From laid-back beach days and vibrant markets to the best burritos and must-stay hostels—these are the places that truly made my journey unforgettable. Ready to join me on this final adventure? At the time of my stay, I happened to be the only guest, which meant I spent a lot of time with Rodrigo, Diana, her husband, and their kids, practicing some Spanish with them. Watching the stars from the beach every night was one of the most special moments of my stay.[Lees meer…]
Hola everyone! This is already my sixth solo trip to Mexico, and yet this country continues to captivate me in ways that are hard to describe. The first time I came here in 2022, I instantly fell in love. Since then, I’ve returned time and time again, and now I’m embarking on another Mexican adventure. The last time I stayed here for such a long period was in 2022. Back then, I spent over 3.5 weeks, but for a different reason—I was with someone from Mexico. From that moment on, everything changed. My trips after that were solo, but never truly alone, as over the years, I’ve made incredible friends here. And even after six visits, this country still feels magical. [Lees meer…]
Tulum is a place where I hear mixed stories from travelers. Many find it overrated and expensive, but for me, it’s my favorite spot in the world. My days in Tulum are usually very relaxed. I often start with a leisurely breakfast or brunch, then head to a cenote or beach, and in the evening, I might have drinks with friends or attend a cool party hosted by one of my DJ friends. I’m fortunate to know many people, have friends in various organizations, and enjoy great collaborations in Tulum – which definitely shapes my experience differently. If I hadn’t stayed at Mayan Monkey in 2022 – in my opinion, the best hostel (next to Meteora) I’ve ever stayed at in Mexico – my life would be completely different right now. [Lees meer…]
At the end of April, I traveled to Mexico for the fifth time in two years. Yes, you read that right—five times! Mexico has become my ultimate destination, the place I constantly want to return to. The combination of fantastic hospitality, the internationally beloved cuisine (also my favorite!), stunning oceans, lively parties, expats, solo travelers, and the many friends I’ve made here, makes this country incredibly special to me. In Mexico, you can find everything: from the most delicious tacos and margaritas to breathtaking views and a vibrant atmosphere that you won’t find anywhere else. Each trip to Mexico is different and brings new adventures and collaborations. That’s why I keep a diary of every trip to share all these experiences and new tips with you. [Lees meer…]
Hi everyone! Welcome to the second part of my travel diary! In this part, I will mainly share with you my days in Tulum, and a few days in Playa del Carmen. My travel diaries are a personal diary and travel portfolio to read for you and for myself to read back and remember everything better. Once again, I would like to share that due to personal circumstances, I kept certain things personal and did not write them in my travel diary. Some memories are for the heart only, too personal or too emotional to share with the world online. This is the case in a few past travel diaries. In this travel diary, I will share my tips and experiences with you from my last trip, I hope you enjoy reading this! Under the tab ‘Travel – Mexico’ you can find all of my previous Mexico trips. Hi everyone! Welcome back to another travel diary. I’ve been catching up a lot with my blogging because I didn’t want to be too far behind with my travels and uploads. In this travel post, I am going to share all my experiences from last trip. I would like to say that this trip was the best of all 4 trips to Mexico. That’s why I can’t wait to share my tips and experiences with you. Mexico has become my favorite travel destination after visiting 20 countries. What used to be Japan is now Mexico – and years ago I really didn’t expect that I could love a country almost more than Japan. Mexico is an amazing country for solo travel, delicious food, beautiful nature, meeting international people, working remote and a rich culture. No day of my trip is the same! When I first came to Mexico in May 2022 without expectations, I did not expect that I would be there at least 4 times in just over 1.5 years! Are you reading this story along? First of all, I would like to say that due to personal reasons, I have kept certain things personal and have not written them in my travel diary. Some memories are only for the heart, too personal or too emotional to share online with the world ♥[Lees meer…]

Hi everyone! Welcome to a new travel diary where I take you – largely solo – to a safe, clean, prosperous and beautiful part of Brazil – Florianópolis. If you are looking for a beautiful, safe, clean and adventurous travel destination in Brazil, this is your place. There are a lot of people I’ve spoken to on my past travels who often skip Brazil while backpacking through South America because of a ‘bad image’ – sadly (however, I personally also do not recommend Rio myself, while I absolutely love Brazil). I have therefore completely devoted this travel diary to a part of Brazil that I think you should definitely visit if you have the chance! And it also deserves much more fame. Florianópolis is a place known for its 40+ beaches, hiking and climbing routes, nature, surf spots, good food, oysters, fresh fish, safety and social life. A pearl in South America where you can relax and enjoy the real ‘Brazilian feeling’ – with a slightly European touch from the ‘descendants’ who have lived here for generations from, for example, Germany and Italy. Florianópolis is about an hour’s flight from São Paulo (Brazil), and a 2.5-hour flight from Buenos Aires (Argentina). [Lees meer…]
