Hi everyone, welcome to a new mini travel diary! This trip was my first time visiting Madrid and already my fifth time in Valencia. Valencia has been one of my favorite cities for years now, especially because one of my closest friends, Mathilde, lives there – someone I met during an unforgettable trip to Mexico in 2022. And every time I did a transfer through Madrid, my heart told me to visit this place one day -and there was a special reason to this, [Lees meer…]
You’d almost think I’m in Rome in these photos, but this is a lovely spot in beautiful Valencia! Besides my visit to Madrid, I went to Valencia for the 5th (!) time last week. I have friends living here and would love to live there someday. Even now, in early November, it was still above 20 degrees Celsius – so I could still go barefoot! I recently put this outfit together in the middle of the night on a whim, haha, and packed it immediately. I bought this blazer at Zara in 2021 or 2022, and I bought this outfit last summer along with these heels. I do have this amazing new bag, though. What do you think? The photos were taken by my dear Brazilian friend Tay, who I was visiting. [Lees meer…]
Hi everyone! This week I went on a trip to Madrid, a place that had been calling me for a long time and was high on my list. I started the trip in Valencia, visiting a nearby village because one of my best travel friends, Mathilde, recently moved there with her boyfriend. The trip was fun, but also challenging. I traveled long distances every day to see everyone, plus because of a friend in South America who I let go of at a film festival (no gatekeeping here, lol) – but despite that, I had a great trip. As a surprise, another friend of mine was in the city, and I met some new, fun people in Madrid. I can’t wait to tell you more about it soon! [Lees meer…]
Lately, I’ve been taking a bit more time for myself. My mind has been busy with so many things, and as a result, I’ve been less active on social media. But a few weeks ago, something rare happened — I got to go on a work trip! At my airline, we almost never stay overnight at destinations. Most of my travels are done using staff tickets during my free time, so whenever I actually get to stay somewhere, I try to make the most of it. [Lees meer…]
Welcome back to a new travel post! It’s been a while since my last update, but more are coming soon. I’m traveling a bit less this year, which makes the trips I do take feel even more special. Budapest had been high on my list for ages. I’d heard it’s one of the best solo travel destinations – safe, fun, and full of things to explore – and everyone I knew who’d been there had nothing but good things to say. So when I found a one-way ticket from Eindhoven Airport for just €55, I couldn’t resist. [Lees meer…]
Hi everyone! Earlier this month, I went on a spontaneous trip to Rome with my dear friend Aline. We met back in 2022 during my second trip to Mexico — a deeply emotional journey that turned out to be one of the most transformative experiences of my life. Meeting Aline at such a meaningful moment instantly created a deep bond between us. Ever since, we’ve stayed incredibly close. Even though she’s originally from Brazil, I honestly see her more often than some of my friends in the Netherlands. We’ve reunited in Mexico twice this year, I visited her in Florianópolis, and now… in Rome. [Lees meer…]
Hi everyone! After years, I enjoyed making a weekly diary again! In any case, influencer events, collaborations and flight attendant layovers are some of the most fun aspects of my ‘professions’ – so I enjoyed making these, like all my posts! This week started on August 31st. [Lees meer…]
Two months ago I went to Dubrovnik in Croatia with a friend from work. We both flew standby from Rotterdam to Dubrovnik in the evening. Although we would have less than 48 hours in Croatia, I expected to be able to do everything easily in a small town like this. I was hoping to feel the same vibe as in Split two years ago in this place. I honestly thought Split was one of my best ‘city trips’ in a long time. To tell you in advance – Croatia is now a euro country, so keep in mind that partly because of this and in any case in recent years, prices have risen enormously and it is no longer cheap. We only found out about this during the trip itself, because I thought I could eat, drink and move around just fine with about 40-50 euros per day.. since I am not someone who – apart from a collab – wants/needs a 3 cours dinner every day. Last October I traveled to Lisbon for the 4th time as a city trip. Nicole is a school friend of mine whom I know from my studies. In 2019 I visited her with another former classmate because she lived here for a while before her education. Lisbon is my favorite city in Europe, so I really wanted to go back. We flew together from Eindhoven airport to Lisbon and I was allowed to invite Nicole to see the landing from the cockpit. [Lees meer…]
