Hi everyone! Japan was really a wonderful solo trip. I experienced so many great things, got wonderful new memories and met many people. I will place a lot of travel diaries from my last 3 trips soon. Where I stand here is on a high viewpoint in Shibuya. I am really happy with how the pictures have turned out. These photos were taken by Anita, with whom I went to have lunch this day. [Lees meer…]
At the end of October I had been to Lisbon with a friend from my former study International Business (IBS). We were planning to visit a friend of ours who is studying there for a few months. Yanneke and I flew (standby) to Lisbon. This 4 day trip is for me number 4 of 2019 and my 3rd time in Lisbon. As I have said in many posts, Lisbon is my favorite city trip destination in Europe so far. The many colorful streets with sweet little restaurants keep surprising me. The follow up cities are Valencia and Porto for me. In 2015 I went there as a study trip (and during that time, my “cabin crew dreams” started). In 2017 I went there solo. [Lees meer…]
Lisbon is my favorite city trip destination in Europe as I have probably told you before. The colorful streets and all those cute places keep surprising me. I bought this cute dot dress in sale at Loavies. I wanted to bring a nice new dress to Lisbon last minute, so I chose this one. Where I am standing here, is at Pink Street near Cais do Sodre. This colored street is a hotspot in Lisbon, where many people take pictures. [Lees meer…]
A few days ago I was in Lisbon – trip number 4 of 2019. I went to Lisbon with a school friend for 4 days to visit another school friend – this was, by the way, my 3rd time in Lisbon. Lisbon genuinely remains my favorite European city alongside my home town. (By the way, I didn’t notice the mop until I was editing, haha.) I ordered this pink dress at Godly. When I arrived from chilly Netherlands in way warmer Portugal, I replaced my tights and sneakers with my favorite travel shoes. By the way – Yanneke took the pictures of this outfit at one of the cute narrow streets near our Airbnb.[Lees meer…]
This travel diary is a very special and personal one, the title says Solo, but I was not alone. I was very curious about my partial ‘roots’ and lovely family members that I never or haven’t seen in the last 20 years. I went to see them on my own in Istanbul. After the sudden death of my grandfather in early 2019, which I was actually going to see in real life for the first time this year (we had facetime contact every now and then, telephone contact and he spoke Dutch), I decided to fly to Istanbul during my vacation, less than half a day after I came back from Valencia, from Eindhoven airport. [Lees meer…]
At the end of last month I went to Valencia for the second time. This beautiful city remains a nice hotspot in my eyes for sea, city, shopping and delicious food. I went there with a colleague. We arrived halfway through the afternoon and went there by Standby seats (flying for a reduced price for flight attendants). The first day was relaxed. After the flight we decided to change clothes and head for the boulevard to eat and drink for a long time. [Lees meer…]
This is the outfit of the last day in Valencia. I really liked this lace dress for this summer. I also often saw it in all kinds of colors. I often combine this dress with my most beautiful black bag, black sandal heels and Josh V earrings. Next week I will go to the next destination: Lisbon! [Lees meer…]
I wore this outfit on the first day in Valencia. It was very easy to change this from an autumn outfit to a summer outfit. You might have seen this black dress in so many outfit posts, because it can be worn in so many ways! The Furla bag makes it a little more summery. [Lees meer…]
I have already been back for 3 days from a whole week of traveling. First I went to Valencia for 3 days, where I went last year as well – and I went to Istanbul for 4 days after that to visit my aunts. I bought this dress in the sale of Godly – great for a city trip like this. Travel posts soon! [Lees meer…]
