Earlier this month, I went to visit one of my best friends in Valencia. At that moment it was the 4th time that I visit Valencia. I have been thinking about moving to Valencia for years, because it is easier as a flight attendant, and I am still in the Netherlands a lot at that point. But let’s see what the future brings! I will soon tell you about this and my 2022 trip to Valencia in a new blog. In those travel diaries, you will also find my tips about the destination. [Lees meer…]
Hi everyone! Welcome to the continuation of my original Brazil travel diary. In this travel diary, I will share with you my experiences and tips from my unplanned and spontaneous solo trip to Buenos Aires in Argentina. I was also really looking forward to this spontaneous trip, which I also hadn’t planned when I went. Going without a plan and without preparation sometimes brings unexpected, fun surprises. Hi everyone! Last month, I traveled to Brazil for the first time. I met a friend in Tulum last year, who I kept in touch with almost daily from then on. Brazil started to tickle my ‘wanderlust’ more and more. In this travel diary I have typed up all my travel tips and ‘diaries’ from my days in Brazil for you. [Lees meer…]
Hi everyone! This beautiful place is Parque Lage in Rio de Janeiro. I thought this place was definitely worth a visit, although you do have to queue if you want a photo by the water. Aline and I took most of the photos on the top floor. You must have bought something in the souvenir shop to gain access to the roof – by the way. [Lees meer…]
Welcome back to Part 2! I knew it was rain season, but I didn’t expect how extremely rainy it would be this whole trip. Minor spoiler; the rest of the journey was nothing but incessant rain! So take the rainy season in July seriously. Basically, we could do almost nothing today. This post is mainly pictures of the few things we could do, because we were literally ‘stuck’ in the rain. Furthermore, I think Thailand is a beautiful country with incredibly warm, sweet people! The hospitality and safety here are very nice. [Lees meer…]
Hi everyone! After years, I enjoyed making a weekly diary again! In any case, influencer events, collaborations and flight attendant layovers are some of the most fun aspects of my ‘professions’ – so I enjoyed making these, like all my posts! This week started on August 31st. [Lees meer…]
I love Lavish Alice so much! Unfortunately, not a single item in my huge wardrobe of their items is a collaboration. I have been loyally buying items from them for over 4 years, and mainly at a discount, on sale or via vinted! I also got this beauty in the sale. Since the weather was going to be nice in Brussels during my layover, I decided to pack it! Never miss a chance to dress nicely, right? :-). By the way, I was finally – for the 6th time in 6 years as a flight attendant – on a layover. So far I have been to Groningen once, Dubai once and Brussels 4 times, including these 3 days. Two months ago I went to Dubrovnik in Croatia with a friend from work. We both flew standby from Rotterdam to Dubrovnik in the evening. Although we would have less than 48 hours in Croatia, I expected to be able to do everything easily in a small town like this. I was hoping to feel the same vibe as in Split two years ago in this place. I honestly thought Split was one of my best ‘city trips’ in a long time. To tell you in advance – Croatia is now a euro country, so keep in mind that partly because of this and in any case in recent years, prices have risen enormously and it is no longer cheap. We only found out about this during the trip itself, because I thought I could eat, drink and move around just fine with about 40-50 euros per day.. since I am not someone who – apart from a collab – wants/needs a 3 cours dinner every day. A few weeks ago I went on a trip to Bangkok. I felt strongly that this was going to be an amazing trip. Originally, I would go on a 6-7 day trip with my best friend Roos, who lives in Abu Dhabi – but this felt too short for me. In 3 years time, I have seen Roos in real life for 4 hours – which was in Dubai last April by ‘sort of’ coincidence. From her departure station Abu Dhabi, it is about 6 hours flying time and from Amsterdam 12 hours straight. Because of the longer distance, I wanted to stay for more days than that anyway. Due to the 2 hour delay on my working flight, I would no longer be able to catch the KLM flight in the evening directly to BKK. I decided to fly to Dubai with Emirates. [Lees meer…]
