Hi everyone! For the first time in 4 years, I had an airline layover abroad. So far, in 6 years as a flight attendant, I have only stayed abroad twice for work (I don’t count Brussels). Many people think that all the travelling, as seen on my Instagram – is travelling as a flight attendant. The trips I post are trips that I mainly do because of the discount I get on tickets, but not for work. And secretly, I think staying abroad is the best part of flying – so it was great that it was on my roster for once. By the way, I crossed my 20th country off my list! I do not include the destinations that I only fly to/open for work, so 18 of the 20 countries are countries that I have not visited for work.

Being a stewardess | Brussels center layover & influencer event
Hi everyone! After years, I enjoyed making a weekly diary again! In any case, influencer events, collaborations and flight attendant layovers are some of the most fun aspects of my ‘professions’ – so I enjoyed making these, like all my posts! This week started on August 31st. [Lees meer…]

I love Lavish Alice so much! Unfortunately, not a single item in my huge wardrobe of their items is a collaboration. I have been loyally buying items from them for over 4 years, and mainly at a discount, on sale or via vinted! I also got this beauty in the sale. Since the weather was going to be nice in Brussels during my layover, I decided to pack it! Never miss a chance to dress nicely, right? :-). By the way, I was finally – for the 6th time in 6 years as a flight attendant – on a layover. So far I have been to Groningen once, Dubai once and Brussels 4 times, including these 3 days. Outfit | Brussels
These outfit photos are from my four day layover in Brussels while working as a flight attendant. I had a very nice crew with me! Now that I’m home, I’m already preparing myself for a 7-day trip to Marrakech. A very nice surprise that I will tell you more about later. By the way, this is not a trip for my work as a flight attendant – we rarely stay at another destination, except for Dubai and occasionally Brussels. During this nice Brussels stay, we went out for dinner with two crews, had breakfast with two crews and on my last day had a coffee with a colleague in the city center.

Being a stewardess | Layovers in Brussels
Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I last wrote a flight attendant post. I thought it would be fun to make one again, especially now that I’ve had two nice ‘layovers’. I created this post for all flight attendants-to-be, or people who are simply very interested in taking a look ‘in the kitchen’ of life in aviation. With my airline you hardly ever stay in another place, because we mainly only do ’turnarounds’ (at least, especially in my case as someone who is Eindhoven based), but recently we fly from Brussels Airport. I really enjoy staying in a different place occasionally for my work. This year I also loved this during my modeling assignments back in spring, when I often stayed in a hotel with a nice group of girls. In a short time I had two layovers and I personally really liked that. I had a short one night layover from my standby, then about two weeks later a 3 night layover scheduled on my roster. In this post I’ll show you what we’ve been up to on these stops. Despite being not far from home in principle, I had never been to Brussels before. [Lees meer…]
Being a Stewardess | One year of corona in aviation
When I drive past Schiphol in the early morning, or late at night after Miss World, and see the illuminated runways, I still feel those butterflies in my stomach. Schiphol is a magical place that I have admired since my childhood. A gateway to new adventures and special stories, I always wanted to be a part of that. As cliché as it may sound, “the sky is my home”. From an early age I already felt an enormous connection with aviation. And who follows his/her heart often gets where he/she belongs. [Lees meer…]
Being a Stewardess | Back in the sky again
Hi everyone. Because I love my job so much, I wanted to make a third and above all personal blog post about flying in the context of finally flying again. First of all I would like to say that I am very grateful that I have been able to be in the air for 6 weeks already and that I am working full-time again. It is now a bit different than we are used to, but every day I feel those butterflies in my stomach when I step on board and see the world from above. [Lees meer…]
Being a Stewardess | 3 day Dubai Layover
Welcome to my first layover diary and my second Stewardess post! As I have told in my other post, my work is my passion and I like to share some nice things about it. About a week and a half ago I was allowed to go to Dubai for 3 days with a nice crew, flying from Amsterdam. I already knew the cabin crew colleagues from Eindhoven and Amsterdam, so that was of course extra fun. Dubai had long been on my wish list. The airline where I work for mainly has ’turnarounds’, so a layover is of course a very nice extra for a lot of people. Many people certainly look forward to it like me. Previous September I also had a nice layover in the city of Groningen. [Lees meer…]
Outfit | Dubai
A few days ago I had my first layover abroad. Dubai is a cool city! I was able to spend 3 days with a great crew and one of my very best friends who lives an hour away from Dubai. Where I am standing is at La Mer, where we had lunch with the girls, recommended by my good friend Roos. This nice dress is well suited for days when the temperature is around 20 degrees. Since it would be around 20 degrees in Dubai at the time I would visit, I thought it would be great to take it with me. [Lees meer…]
