I really enjoy writing about my travel experiences and sharing photos with you. Perhaps this will inspire you to make that solo (dream) trip anyway. Hi everyone! From my trip to Valencia a while ago, I still had some outfit photos that I had never posted in the end. You may have seen some pictures of this dress in my Valencia travel post. I made a bonus mini outfit post afterwards. I really liked Valencia and only a week later I was already on the plane to Tokyo, where I had picked these photos and still decided to create a mini travel post. To be honest, I found this outfit a lot more better with a pair of strap heels, but if I cycle as much as I did on this short trip, that’s just not wise. I went to Valencia with my best friend during my 3 day weekend. This last minute trip was very recent before the end of my 1st flying season and before I leave for Tokyo and is nummer 5 of this year. I try to travel as much as I can if I am able to. I would like to start this travel diary with how much I like this city and how it certainly stole my heart in such a short time. Italy travel diary | mini trip to Florence

2 weeks ago I went to Firenze (Florence) for 2 days. In the end, my very kind colleague Michelle went along on this city trip. From another colleague I got the tip to fly to Pisa and there take the train of about an hour to Florence. We certainly used this tip for the way back, but we went with the shuttle from the airport which takes a bit longer. Both travel ways are very cheap and fast, plus you see a bit of Tuscany. Greece travel diary | Last minute trip to Athens

2 weeks ago I went to Athens with a friend. Our original plan was to go to a different location, but those plans became different last minute. We rebooked everything shortly before the original flight would leave, to a flight to Athens. At the airport we looked at the list of flights that we could book and that would be the first to go to a warm destination. ‘What kind of luggage do we have with us?’ – ‘Only summer clothes’ ‘So, we’ll book the first warm destination that we can book, because why not’. Outfit | Acropolis

Kalimera! Previous week was a great week. I have been on two trips and am now back at (my lovely) work. Where I am standing here is near the Acropolis in Athens. I planned to go to Tel Aviv with a friend, but ultra last minute, our plans changed and we rebooked the trip at the airport to Athens. The flight to Athens would leave that same day in the afternoon. We wanted to go to something warm, haha. Athens is such a nice city! I had a great time together with my friend for 4 days and I have done many nice things. The weather was lovely and I have been able to wear all kinds of new summer dresses that were too cold for the Netherlands.  [Lees meer…]

I had 5 days off at work as a flight attendant and once again I wanted to take the opportunity to travel.
One of my friends was working abroad again for a couple of months so I decided to plan a mini trip on my own to visit her at Palma de Mallorca – so technically this is, just like my trip to Lanzarote to that same friend, not a completely solo trip. [Lees meer…]

One of the reasons that I travel alone is due to my great wanderlust. Moreover, an extra reason is that if I do not manage to get friends / travel companions on a trip, I will still go alone. Anyways, I really like being on my own as well. I like traveling because it gives me a lot of new, special and fun memories and because it is something completely different than my everyday life.
