You’d almost think I’m in Rome in these photos, but this is a lovely spot in beautiful Valencia! Besides my visit to Madrid, I went to Valencia for the 5th (!) time last week. I have friends living here and would love to live there someday. Even now, in early November, it was still above 20 degrees Celsius – so I could still go barefoot! I recently put this outfit together in the middle of the night on a whim, haha, and packed it immediately. I bought this blazer at Zara in 2021 or 2022, and I bought this outfit last summer along with these heels. I do have this amazing new bag, though. What do you think? Spain travel diary | 3 day short trip to Ibiza

Hi everyone! Last month I went to Ibiza for 3 days. It was amazing and the island really surprised me. It was a last minute trip with a dear colleague just before my vacation to Mexico. It started at the beginning of the afternoon when we left with our airline (standby tickets) from Schiphol to Ibiza. After a wonderful flight with the lovely crew and sitting in the cockpit during the landing (which still remains beautiful, even though I have been a flight attendant for years), we went to the car rental that we arranged through our employer. Because Kanar – the colleague who was going to travel with me – drives an automatic car, I drove around the island on this trip. Spain & Portugal travel diary | Unexpected road trip to Faro, Sevilla, Tarifa & Marbella

Hi everyone! Lately I have very little time to make travel posts. Creating one takes a lot of time, but I love doing this. This is the travel diary about my road trip from Faro, Sevilla, Tarifa, Marbella and Malaga in 5 days. In February I was due to go to Mexico during my annual unpaid leave as a new distant solo trip. Joelle, a good friend of mine, wanted to travel with me last minute for a few days, before continuing the journey solo. To briefly summarize how that ended: The flight was full and Joelle and I were left behind (we were going to fly standby; a cheap way of flying for people in aviation if there is room on board). My heart was disappointed that we were left behind. We gave our cheesecake to the sweet senior purser I happened to know so that the crew could enjoy a snack on their long flight to Cancun. Unfortunately, we decided to pick up our suitcase and come up with a new plan on the spot. Once at plaza we canceled everything we had booked (and luckily got the money back from the hotels). Hi everyone! After almost 3 years (time flies so fast!), I was once again in Seville for a moment. This was all last minute. I bought this beautiful suit in Faro, where we had landed for the start of our mini road trip. We walked past a boutique and Joelle said the suit behind the window was really my thing, once inside I bought the same suit, but in my favorite color, red. Joelle bought the same suit in a different color, the one behind the window. We had packed summer clothes for Mexico, so had to quickly buy something nice and warmer. The suit is handmade in Italy and was slightly discounted, making it less expensive. Shall I make another outfit shoot of this outfit besides this one? [Lees meer…]

Spain Travel Diary | 3 day getaway to Malaga

Last week I went to Malaga with my good friend and colleague Michelle. This city trip was a last minute decision, so that made it even more fun. We decided to relax for 3 days in a much warmer city to catch up, because we hadn’t seen each other for a few months. On March 4 we flew to Malaga with a very nice crew from our home base Eindhoven Airport, Standby. I had a three-day weekend, so as I had done before, a city trip suited perfectly. We arrived in the evening so we changed our outfit in our AirBnb apartment and then went out for dinner. By the way, our Airbnb was called Malaga City Breaks. Spain Travel Diary | Second 3 day trip to Valencia

At the end of last month I went to Valencia for the second time. This beautiful city remains a nice hotspot in my eyes for sea, city, shopping and delicious food. I went there with a colleague. We arrived halfway through the afternoon and went there by Standby seats (flying for a reduced price for flight attendants). The first day was relaxed.
