Mexico travel diary (extra long) | One month back to Tulum part 1

24/01/2026 | Reageer

Hi everyone! Welcome to a new travel diary ✨This was already my 9th time in Mexico, and honestly… it’s starting to feel like coming home. My days here have slowly become more like “daily life,” which makes this place even more special to me. [Lees meer…]

Mexico travel diary | 5th (Partial) Solo trip to Tulum & Playa del Carmen – part 1

09/06/2024 | Reageer

At the end of April, I traveled to Mexico for the fifth time in two years. Yes, you read that right—five times! Mexico has become my ultimate destination, the place I constantly want to return to. The combination of fantastic hospitality, the internationally beloved cuisine (also my favorite!), stunning oceans, lively parties, expats, solo travelers, and the many friends I’ve made here, makes this country incredibly special to me. In Mexico, you can find everything: from the most delicious tacos and margaritas to breathtaking views and a vibrant atmosphere that you won’t find anywhere else. Each trip to Mexico is different and brings new adventures and collaborations. That’s why I keep a diary of every trip to share all these experiences and new tips with you. [Lees meer…]

Mexico travel diary (Extra long) | Friend reunion in Tulum & Playa del Carmen – part 1

27/02/2024 | Reageer

Hi everyone! Welcome back to another travel diary. I’ve been catching up a lot with my blogging because I didn’t want to be too far behind with my travels and uploads. In this travel post, I am going to share all my experiences from last trip. I would like to say that this trip was the best of all 4 trips to Mexico. That’s why I can’t wait to share my tips and experiences with you. Mexico has become my favorite travel destination after visiting 20 countries. What used to be Japan is now Mexico – and years ago I really didn’t expect that I could love a country almost more than Japan. Mexico is an amazing country for solo travel, delicious food, beautiful nature, meeting international people, working remote and a rich culture. No day of my trip is the same! When I first came to Mexico in May 2022 without expectations, I did not expect that I would be there at least 4 times in just over 1.5 years! Are you reading this story along? First of all, I would like to say that due to personal reasons, I have kept certain things personal and have not written them in my travel diary. Some memories are only for the heart, too personal or too emotional to share online with the world  ♥ [Lees meer…]

Guatemala, one of the most heartwarming places I’ve experienced so far. A destination that still crosses my mind almost daily. And now in my top 5 favorites.

After being lucky enough to solo travel to so many beautiful places around the world, Guatemala instantly became one of the places that touched me the most.

The people, the atmosphere, the volcanoes, Lake Atitlán, the coffee, the food, UNESCO Antigua… this country has a soul that is difficult to describe unless you’ve experienced it yourself.

I met beautiful humans I still speak to from time to time, and I’m grateful to now call some incredible Guatemalans my friends.

I travelled here with my new camera, and I’m so thankful I was able to capture parts of this beautiful country through my own eyes, while also collaborating with amazing companies along the way.

I remember my eyes being teary while being on a boat at Lake Atitlan, and the moment I saw the Volcano erupt during the hike - one of the most challenging things I have ever done.

Some places impress you.
Others stay with you.
Guatemala did both. 🌋🇬🇹

Wait for the end! ✈️
Some women wait for love to start living.
I booked the ticket anyway.

Some of the most beautiful moments of my life happened because I stopped waiting, for permission, for certainty, for someone to come with me.

Solo travelling taught me that freedom can be lonely sometimes, but also deeply empowering. It gave me sunsets in countries I once only dreamed about, strangers that became memories, confidence I never learned at home, and versions of myself I would’ve never met if I stayed safe.

I may not have everything figured out yet, but I’ve lived. Deeply. Wildly. Internationally.
And honestly? That already makes me rich in life.

I know it’s not a possibility for every woman in the world to do this. Something travel also showed me over and over again.

Tulum, mi destino mágico 🌙🌴🌵
Some months ago I had the beautiful privilege to stay at @villa_hunab_ku multiple times - an absolute masterpiece and truly my aesthetic dream place in Tulum.

I remember sitting in the bathtub on the balcony of the master bedroom, the one I chose out of the five… in complete silence. Just looking out into the trees, feeling the warmth, and realizing how incredibly grateful I felt in that moment.

Grateful to be able to create a life where I get to travel, experience places like this, and even work with them. Something that once felt far away, and now feels like something I’ve slowly built for myself - step by step, by staying true to who I am and not letting other people’s opinions define me or hold me back.

At this villa, everything felt calm.
Safe. Peaceful. Grounded.

Waking up slowly, biking through Aldea Zamá to Nimenõ for my favorite coffee and breakfast just a few minutes away… those simple moments that end up meaning the most.

This villa is perfect for a group trip or something like a bachelorette, but I also loved experiencing it in my own way. Having the space to myself, inviting friends over sometimes, and just enjoying the balance between connection and stillness.

That balance felt very aligned with me.

Gracias en todos, @villa_hunab_ku 🤍
