Previous Monday, I have visited the Miss Netherlands 2016 finale.
As I had told in the post ‘Meeting Miss Netherlands & My new Given dress’ I won a social media competition which also included 5 tickets to the finale of Miss Netherlands 2016.

Afgelopen maandag heb ik de finale van Miss Nederland 2016 bezocht. Zoals ik al eerder heb verteld in mijn post ‘Meeting Miss Netherlands & My new Given dress’, heb ik een social media wedstrijd gewonnen waar ik o.a 5 kaarten voor de Miss Nederland 2016 finale heb gewonnen.
Four of my friends and I went on our way to Studio 21 in Hilversum by car.
I was very enthusiastic for the finale, because I look up to beauty pageants (+ hope to join a beauty pageant one day… if it’s within my opportunities) and follow Miss Netherlands and other beauty pageants quite some time on social media. This is because I think it’s so amazing if you get an opportunity like that, and I’m quite interested in seeing how it all goes. And ofcourse, because of all the glitter & glamour!

Samen met vier vriendinnen, ging ik onderweg naar Studio 21 in Hilversum met de auto. Ik was erg enthousiast voor de finale, omdat ik opkijk naar miss verkiezingen. (+ooit op een dag hoop ik er met een mee te kunnen doen.. mocht dat een mogelijkheid zijn), en ik volg Miss Nederland en andere Miss verkiezingen al een lange tijd op social media, omdat ik het gaaf vind als mensen die kans krijgen en ik het leuk vind om te zien hoe missverkiezingen in hun werk gaan. En natuurlijk, om alle glitter & glamour!

During the finale, one out of the 12 finalists, would be chosen to be the new Miss Netherlands. The winner would receive the crown of former Miss Netherlands (2015) – Jessie Jazz Vuijk. The finale has the following parts; The introduction rounds – where the girls would be introduced in casual clothing and in the part following up, would tell something about why they joined Miss Netherlands. The talent round – where the girls would show an special talent they have, an catwalk round – where the girls would show clothing of It’s Given, the bikini round, and finally the prom dress round. The show hosts of the night during this finale: Kim Kötter (Miss Universe Netherlands 2002) and Viktor Brand
Tijdens de finale, zal een van de 12 finalisten, gekozen worden als nieuwe Miss Nederland. De winaar zal de kroon overnemen van Miss Nederland (2015) – Jessie Jazz Vuijk. De finale bestaat uit de volgende onderdelen; De introductie rondes – waar de meisjes geïntroduceerd worden in casual kleding. Daar op volgend, zichzelf voorstellen en wat over zichzelf vertellen – waar onder waarom ze mee doen met Miss Nederland, de talent ronde – waar de meisjes hun speciale talenten zouden tonen aan het publiek, een catwalk ronde – waar de meisjes in kleding van It’s Given zijn, de bikini ronde en als laatste, de gala ronde. De presentatoren van deze avond zijn Kim Kötter (Miss Universe Nederland 2002) en Viktor Brand.

Miss Netherlands 2016: Zoey Ivory
Zoey Ivory shall now she has won, represent the country I live in, as Miss Netherlands 2016 during Miss Universe.
Zoey Ivory zal nu ze gewonnen heeft, als Miss Nederland ons land vertegenwoordigen bij Miss Universe.
Afterwards there was a great afterparty with the Party Squad. The after party was together with all the misses, visitors, some previous-misses and other celebrities.
Op het laatst was er een leuke afterparty met the Party Squad. De after party was samen met alle missen, bezoekers, sommige vorige missen, en andere celebs.
To finish this post – I really liked the evening. The finale was really well put together and each of the finalists was beautiful in their own way. It was also nice to see such a variety of talents and show parts. What is your vision on beauty pageants? I’m quite enthusiastic about it. How about you?
Om deze post af te sluiten – Ik vond het een leuke avond. De finale was erg goed gevuld en ieder van de finalistes was mooi op hun eigen manier. Het was ook erg leuk om een variatie aan talenten en onderdelen te zien. Wat is jullie mening over missverkiezingen? Ik ben er erg enthousiast over. En jullie?
