Hi everyone! I returned from the trip shown in the photos on the 26th. I traveled to Jordan last minute with an Emirates friend. I was actually going to leave back to Mexico on the same day as I flew to Amman, but due to personal circumstances I unfortunately decided not to go on the trip. When Demi – the Emirates friend in question – and I spent hours on the phone – we decided to fly to Jordan last minute. We both really wanted to go to Petra, which would be my 3rd of the 7 wonders of the world. I made a huge mistake about the climate there and took with me the outfits – such as this dress – that I had originally bought for my return to Mexico. The outfits I brought with me were way too cold and in my own opinion not very neat during Ramadan in the country, so I combined my outfits with shawls or kimonos. The way I wear the dress was only for the photos, because I wore a shawl over my upper body before and after. I wear it like in these pictures during trips to sunny places such as Mexico.
The cool thing about this place where I’m standing is that The Martian was filmed here. I’m a huge fan of the universe, NASA and everything related to it, so this was a cool alien experience on our own planet. This location is a ‘bubble hotel’ in the UNESCO area called Wadi Rum. I will tell you more about this trip soon.

Hi allemaal! Eergisteren ben ik teruggekomen van de trip die op de foto’s te zien is. Ik ben last minute met een Emirates vriendin naar Jordanië gereisd. Ik zou eigenlijk terug naar Mexico vertrekken op dezelfde dag als ik naar Amman vloog, maar door persoonlijke omstandigheden heb ik de reis helaas besloten niet te maken. Toen Demi – de desbetreffende Emirates vriendin – en ik uren aan de telefoon hingen – besloten we last minute naar Jordanië te vliegen. We wilden beide heel erg graag naar Petra, wat mijn 3e van de 7 wereldwonderen zou zijn. Ik heb me enorm vergist in het klimaat daar en nam de outfits – zoals deze jurk – die ik origineel voor mijn return naar Mexico had gekocht, mee. De outfits die ik mee had genomen waren dus veel te koud en in mijn eigen mening niet erg netjes tijdens Ramadan in het land, dus heb ik mijn outfits gecombineerd met omslagdoeken of kimono’s. Hoe ‘open’ ik deze jurk ook draag, is dus enkel voor de foto’s, omdat ik hier voor en na een omslagdoek over mijn bovenlijf droeg. Deze jurk draag ik in zijn origineel in een zonnig land zoals Mexico.
Het gave van deze plek waar ik sta, is dat hier The Martian is opgenomen. Ik ben een enorme fan van het universum, NASA en alles gerelateerd daar aan, dus was dit een gave buitenaardse ervaring op onze eigen planeet. Deze locatie is een ‘bubble hotel’ in het Unesco gebied genaamd Wadi Rum. Binnenkort vertel ik meer over deze reis.
