After an incredibly long Grab ride of over 3 hours for just 38 kilometers – yes, Bali traffic is truly no joke – I finally arrived in Uluwatu late in the afternoon. I had booked Karma Backpackers hostel, one of the few options here. It immediately struck me that everything here is a bit more expensive than in Canggu: food, drinks, and even parties.
