Hi everyone. At the end of July, I went to visit a good friend of mine in Marbella for a weekend. Funnily enough, Marbella itself was never on my travel wish list, but during this weekend I went there for the second time. I’m normally not a big fan of jet set places, but it certainly didn’t disappoint. Early Friday morning, I left for Schiphol to start this weekend. After a long line of 2.5 hours, I arrived at the gate. I was on standby for a seat (if seat available airline staff tickets), but at this point it looked totally full. When I met the KLM crew, I was very lucky because I got the – in my opinion – ‘best front row seat’ (the cockpit observer seat) and was the very last one to board. Thanks to the efforts of this sweet crew and ground crew I was able to join. The entire flight was enjoyable and I spent the entire flight in the cockpit.

Being a stewardess | Layovers in Brussels
Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I last wrote a flight attendant post. I thought it would be fun to make one again, especially now that I’ve had two nice ‘layovers’. I created this post for all flight attendants-to-be, or people who are simply very interested in taking a look ‘in the kitchen’ of life in aviation. With my airline you hardly ever stay in another place, because we mainly only do ‘turnarounds’ (at least, especially in my case as someone who is Eindhoven based), but recently we fly from Brussels Airport. I really enjoy staying in a different place occasionally for my work. This year I also loved this during my modeling assignments back in spring, when I often stayed in a hotel with a nice group of girls. In a short time I had two layovers and I personally really liked that. I had a short one night layover from my standby, then about two weeks later a 3 night layover scheduled on my roster. In this post I’ll show you what we’ve been up to on these stops. Despite being not far from home in principle, I had never been to Brussels before. [Read more…]
Mexico travel diary (Extra long) | Solo trip to Mexico part 2
Hello everyone! Great that you are reading my second part of my solo Mexico travel diary. This post is extra long because I didn’t want to split it into two more parts. So I would say, take your time with this! haha. I try to describe my diaries extensively, but some things are left out and I also find it unnecessary to share. Moreover, otherwise the text becomes too long, and I try to describe it broadly. During my travels, I also try to keep a general diary here and there in order to expand this later with the photos. I will continue this second part in Tulum. I would like to take you with me in this sequel! Full of tips and experiences. [Read more…]
Outfit | Marbella
Hi everyone! I’ve been traveling a lot lately haha. The borders are open again since quite some time already and I’m going for it. Last week I went to Marbella for 3 days. Joelle, a good friend of mine, immigrated to Marbella. The reason that I am able to travel a lot is partly due to the fact that I use the so-called ´if place available´ tickets. I am also very grateful that this is possible! When I saw this dress, I bought it right away! Perfect for summer and the colors are very nice. Next month I plan on going to Lisbon for 3 days, and the month after to Cartagena (if that will continue). A lot of travel posts are coming up! I am curious and very excited about what is about to come! [Read more…]
Mexico travel diary | Solo trip to Mexico part 1
In this travel post I will take you on a solo trip to Mexico, where I will share my experiences and tips extensively, as in a diary. I don’t want to give too much away yet, but to start with how I experienced the whole trip: As one of the most beautiful trips I’ve ever made. Way beyond my expectations. Especially because of the special people and unexpected fun things that I got on my path. This journey literally felt like a pink cloud – pure happiness, great gratitude, euphoria and peace. I am extremely grateful to be able to do these beautiful things in my life and am certainly aware of this privilege. I am grateful that I can give myself solo travel as a gift, and will continue to do so. I hope these travel diaries might inspire you to go on a solo trip yourself. If not, I hope it is at least a fun activity to take you on this 11 day solo adventure. With a big smile on my face, I start this travel diary. Even if nobody would read it, so to speak, I just like to have everything worked out for myself and to be able to share it. I always get that feeling from back then (and a certain homesickness) when I read or type this. My posts are like a kind of public diary. Of course I always write it out in broad outline, otherwise it is really too much to read. [Read more…]
Outfit | Skies
Hi everyone. Lately I’ve been getting a lot of questions about my favorite dress of the moment. Every now and then you can treat yourself to something nice from a ‘somewhat higher price category’ – I say to myself, because I don’t do that very often to be very honest. I saw this beautiful dress hanging on the shelf a few months ago and the dress stayed in my head for a very long time. I decided to order it in size EU36 and am very happy with it! The fabric is very nice, and I really like the color. I will be wearing this dress often! I didn’t have a lot of photos from Ibiza for an outfit post, but I collected some here and there to make one anyway. Whether for a nice dinner, as cocktails, as wine, as lunch, as a party… you name it, this dress is very suitable. In the Netherlands, I often wear it with black block heels and my favorite black bag. Spain travel diary | 3 day short trip to Ibiza
Hi everyone! Last month I went to Ibiza for 3 days. It was amazing and the island really surprised me. It was a last minute trip with a dear colleague just before my vacation to Mexico. It started at the beginning of the afternoon when we left with our airline (standby tickets) from Schiphol to Ibiza. After a wonderful flight with the lovely crew and sitting in the cockpit during the landing (which still remains beautiful, even though I have been a flight attendant for years), we went to the car rental that we arranged through our employer. Because Kanar – the colleague who was going to travel with me – drives an automatic car, I drove around the island on this trip. For me it was the first time to drive on a holiday destination, so it was very nice to have done that! [Read more…]
Outfit | Olive
Hi everyone. The moment I make this post, I’m finally in Mexico! This outfit is from my Ibiza trip from earlier this month. I think it’s really cool how many neon colors I see coming back in collections this year, and this dress is one of them. In Dubai last year I wore something in this same cool color. I really like this dress and have had it in my closet for a few months now. In the Netherlands I don’t often have the opportunity to put on such cool dresses in my spare time, but on holiday I like to unpack! These photos were taken in front of my hotel swimming pool. I was in a nice quiet spot in Cala Llonga, quite a distance from all the partying. I came to Ibiza with the intention of relaxing, seeing the beautiful island, eating good food and touring with a car. These plans certainly worked! The same goes for Mexico. I am very curious what the next few days will bring me. [Read more…]
Outfit | Ibiza
Hi everyone! Last week I had 3 wonderful days in Ibiza. As usual it was not a trip for work, but just a mini vacation trip. In a few days I will finally be in Mexico! This time I have booked an actual ticket instead of a standby ticket. I don’t want to risk not getting on the flight again. This lovely dress is from Zara and funnily enough I spotted it 3x with other women in Ibiza when I was wearing it myself! Super nice in combination with my Gucci marmont super mini bag and low translucent block heels. This series of photos reminds me a bit of my outfit in Split. The best tip I can give you on a summer vacation is to take lots of pictures in the shadow! That’s where the light is often the best for an outfit shoot like this one. The photos were taken in the old town, I will soon tell you about my tips and experiences of Ibiza in a new travel diary. [Read more…]
